YOUR TV STATION, IN ONE WORKSPACE

Plan the schedule.
Control the broadcast.

01 / IMPORT

Keep media where it belongs.

Reference local video files without making another copy. Metadata and thumbnails are prepared in the background; large libraries still need processing time.

02 / SCHEDULE

Give every programme its place.

Arrange music, films, news, documentaries, kids programmes, podcasts and advertising. Artist titles appear on music content only.

03 / ON AIR

A break at the right boundary.

Scheduled items wait for the current video to finish, then return to the main playlist. A film finishes in full; mid-film ad breaks are not included.

BUILT AROUND YOUR BROADCAST DAY

From the first clip
to the next programme.

MEDIA LIBRARY

Import. Organize. Reorder.

Add local videos and folders, group them by programme type and arrange playlists in the order you need. Local imports reference your files; keep the source drive connected. Metadata processing continues in the background.

PROGRAMME SCHEDULING

A place for every format.

Build separate lists for music, news, films, kids programmes, documentaries, podcasts and commercials. Schedule a programme or a recurring advertising break, with a return to your regular playlist afterwards.

COMMERCIAL BREAKS

Let the current clip finish.

A break scheduled for 20:00 waits if a video is still playing. When that video ends, the commercial list takes over, then normal programming resumes. This means the actual start can be later than the scheduled time.

CHANNEL GRAPHICS

Make the screen yours.

Import your channel logo, adjust its size and position, write a scrolling information ticker and choose music title designs. Artist and song titles belong to music content; a next-video card introduces what follows.

PLAYOUT & STREAMING

Control the output.

Use preview and program monitors, pause, skip or stop playback, and open the program view fullscreen. Configure your streaming destination and encode from the source media files. Your server and distribution service remain separate.

LIVE STUDIO · EXPERIMENTAL

Bring cameras into the show.

Explore up to four camera inputs, microphone controls and live studio layouts for interviews and podcasts. Camera permissions and compatible hardware are required. Test your devices and transitions before a live broadcast.

STARTUP & RECOVERY

Ready after you sign in.

Enable Start with Windows / macOS to open the installed desktop app after login. A separate Automatic recovery option resumes the playlist and saved stream after an interruption. Keep the controller open and your licence active.

YOUR CONTENT, YOUR CHANNEL

Start with a clean workspace.

Add your own videos, branding and streaming settings. Studio Playout is independent software for your station; a subscription does not include music or film rights, a streaming server, CDN delivery or OTT carriage.

DESKTOP ACCESS

One computer. One channel.

Download the Windows or macOS beta through your account, activate your computer and evaluate your workflow for 72 hours. Continue with a monthly or annual PayPal subscription. Internet access is required for licence checks.

BEFORE YOU GO ON AIR

Know your workflow.

Will an advertisement interrupt a song or film?

No. Scheduled breaks wait until the current video finishes. A full-length film plays to the end; mid-film break points and resume are not included in this beta.

What happens after a power cut?

Once power returns, the computer must start and you must sign in. If login startup is enabled, Studio Playout opens. With Automatic recovery enabled, available media and a valid online licence, it attempts to resume the playlist and saved stream. Cloud backup broadcasting is not included.

Where do I enable automatic startup?

In the desktop app, open Streaming, find Computer startup, enable Start with Windows / macOS and save. Automatic recovery is a separate setting in the same section. You can turn either option off.

Does Studio Playout provide an online TV channel?

It manages playback and sends output to the streaming destination you configure. You supply the server, bandwidth, CDN and any agreements with TV or OTT platforms.

Is the beta ready for unattended broadcasting?

Evaluate it first with your content and equipment. macOS is unsigned and has not yet been tested on a Mac. Some preview graphics differ from native encoded output, and live camera workflows remain experimental.

ONE CHANNEL. YOUR CHOICE.

Three days to try.
A plan to continue.

Try Studio Playout for 72 hours from your first computer activation. Afterwards, an active subscription is required for playback and streaming.

Windows 10/11, 64-bit. macOS 13+ with the included setup script and Homebrew prerequisites.

Beta software for evaluation. The macOS package is unsigned and has not yet been tested on a Mac. Keep the controller open during playout. Cloud failover is not available, and native stream graphics do not yet match every preview effect. Test your workflow before relying on it on air.
